Au moment où l’indie rock fonce dans le mur, Unknown Mortal Orchestra semble bel et bien offrir la meilleure porte de sortie.
Basé à Portland mais mené par un néo-zélandais, le trio écrit des morceaux racés et psychés, puisant autant chez Love que Led Zeppelin ou Sly and the Family Stone. Des bijoux intemporels, challengers totalement à l’hégémonie de Tame Impala en termes d’écriture pop voyageuse et soyeuse, UMO est attendu en France comme le messie.
