Debademba est un collectif né de la rencontre magique de deux complices : le guitariste Abdoulaye Traoré venu du Burkina Faso, soliste et rythmicien inventif, et le chanteur originaire du Mali Mohamed Diaby, griot charismatique.

Personnages hauts en couleurs, ce sont comme les autres membres du groupe (section rythmique et claviers) des Africains de Paris très en vue sur la scène cosmopolite de la capitale. Ils façonnent une musique moderne et explosive, où afrobeat, highlife, mbalax et reflets mandingues côtoient la force du blues et des clins d’œil au rock.
