Deux ans après Zonoscope les australiens de Cut Copy reviennent sur disque avec Free Your Mind, leur 4ème album, et sur scène au Trabendo le 30 novembre.
Signés chez Modular Recordings, label de Pond et Tame Impala, Cut Copy ont enregistrés a New York, et fait mixer leur album par la pointe de la scène psyché: Dave Fridmann (Tame Impala, MGMT, …). Cut Copy a avoué s’être inspiré des Summer of Love de San Francisco (1968) et de Grande-Bretagne (1988).
« Le concept de liberté est un concept universellement positif et sans âge, et quel que soit la version de chacun sur ce qu’est la liberté, c’est une bonne chose de rappeler aux gens et à nous-mêmes d’être ‘libres’ ».
