« Sun » est le nouvel album de Cat Power. 6 ans après « The Greatest », Chan Marshall s’éloigne de la soul de Memphis et du Delta blues pour se réinventer.

C’est seule qu’elle a écrit, composé, enregistré et produit ce dernier opus. « Sun » marque le retour en force de Cat Power avec un album audacieux, inattendu et spectaculaire. Les fans des premières heures y reconnaîtront les voix, les rythmes et le charme envoûtant de « You Are Free » auquels s’ajoute la touche de Philippe Zdar qui a mixé l’album, le résultat est un disque lumineux et tourné vers l’avenir.
