Eugène McGuinness (Domino/UK) est un auteur-compositeur-interprète anglais né en 1985 à Londres, d’origine irlandaise mais qui vit à Liverpool. Eugene McGuinness commença à écrire des chansons et à les jouer à l’âge de 15 ans. Il sort un premier EP, The Early Learnings Of Eugene McGuinness, chez Domino le 6 août 2007. Vient alors un album éponyme de 12 titres qui sera accueilli brillamment par les critiques. Douze pistes pop entre abandon joyeux et sens de l’humour acide. Il s’agit d’une collection de chansons glorieusement hors du temps encore tout à fait moderne, avec un pied dans la réalité et l’autre ailleurs entièrement.
