Révélée par le document de Fatih Akin, Crossing the Bridge, Aynur incarne le renouveau de la musique kurde, entre répertoire traditionnel et mélodies nostalgiques d’une intensité unique. Elle sera en concert au Musée du Quai Branly le 25 mars 2018.

Révélée au grand public par le documentaire Crossing the Bridge de Fatih Akin la voix enragée et nostalgique de Aynur (« lumière de lune »), incarne le renouveau de la musique kurde.

S’accompagnant brillamment au saz, elle déploie ses mélodies avec une intensité unique dans des compositions fondées sur le répertoire traditionnel (chants populaires et de danse, chants de plaine et de nature, épopées de montagne et lamentations), dont elle a conservé un pouvoir d’évocation fait d’élégance et de puissance.
