King Krule apparaît sur la scène musicale en 2010, en utilisant différent pseudonymes. De son vrai nom Archy Marshall, il est aussi connu en tant que Zoo Kid, DJ JD Sports, et Edward the Beatmaker. A chacun de ces alias correspond une variation de son style electro rock.
Il sort en 2011 l’EP King Krule qui est l’acte de naissance de cette incarnation. Ses influences qui vont d’Edwyn Collins à The Penguin Cafe Orchestra, en font un esthète éclectique particulièrement guetté pour la sortie de son premier album 6 Feet Beneath the Moon en août 2013.
